The P-440 Portable Ceiling Lift by Handicare allows a single caregiver to safely and securely transfer a patient in a facility or homecare setting. This innovative portable lift weighs just 10 ½ pounds but has a remarkable 440-pound weight capacity! Caregivers can easily operate the P-440 using the on-board controls or the ergonomically designed handheld remote. Securing a patient sling to the lift is simple and safe with the P-440’s positive locking latches. The P-440’s automatic shut-off function will kick in after two minutes of non-use to save battery power. A low battery indicator light on the lift’s control panel will turn orange and a slow beeping alarm will sound to let the caregiver know it’s time for a charge. The caregiver can complete the current transfer when the battery is low, so the patient will never be stuck in the middle of a transfer. The battery indicator will turn red when the batteries are completely out of charge. Caregivers can conveniently charge the P-440 using a standard outlet.
With the P-440 a single caregiver can transfer a patient from wheelchair to bed, floor to bed, or even room to room! Additional features include built-in safety limits, slack strap sensor, and an emergency stop function that will cut off power to the motor and stop the lift from moving up or down.
