Medline Soft-Touch Assist Bed Rails are made of steel and fit all Alterra series beds. These assist rails can be mounted either on the head section or on the foot section of the bed deck and have a coating that is soft to the touch and offer a less institutional look. They are comfortable to grip when rolling over or getting in and out of bed and meet FDA entrapment guidelines for zones 1 to 4.
