Innovative In-Bed Toileting with Easy-Go Bedpan Access
The ObboMed OB-1620 StandardAir LAL Alternating Pressure Ulcer Mattress features a patented Easy-Go bedpan system designed to simplify in-bed toileting for bedridden patients. With a simple push of the Quick Release Valve, caregivers can manually deflate the mattress in approximately 20 seconds, creating a recessed opening that accommodates a bedpan without requiring patient transfers. Once the valve is reinserted, the mattress quickly re-inflates and returns to its original shape. This innovative solution significantly reduces patient discomfort, improves hygiene, and minimizes physical strain on caregivers during toileting care.
Enhanced Safety Through Sinking and Centralization Design
To promote patient safety and positioning, the OB-1620 incorporates a sinking feature that lowers the mattress surface by up to 4 inches, forming a soft central barrier that helps keep patients securely positioned. This design ensures effective patient centralization during alternating pressure therapy and self-lateral rotation, maintaining stability even during rotations of up to 25 degrees. The recessed surface allows caregivers easy access while reducing the risk of patient migration or falls during therapeutic movement.
Advanced Pressure Relief and Therapeutic Support
Built for comprehensive pressure injury prevention, the OB-1620 delivers advanced alternating pressure therapy with customizable cycles ranging from 10 to 40 minutes and supports patients up to 450 lbs. Integrated features include low air loss therapy, static mode, max-inflate (auto firm), and Fowler/sitting support to prevent bottoming out when the head of the bed is elevated. With additional self-lateral rotation up to 15° and right/left/auto rotation up to 25°, this mattress provides continuous pressure redistribution, improved circulation, and consistent support across a wide range of clinical care needs.
