PressureGuard® APM2 Mattress

The PressureGuard® APM² Deluxe is an industry-leading powered air therapy mattress system with more than a decade of documented clinical success. Designed to outperform traditional roll-up treatment surfaces, the APM² delivers superior immersion, envelopment, shear reduction, and pressure redistribution. With two distinct therapy modes—alternating pressure or lateral rotation—selectable at the flip of a switch, the APM² provides unmatched treatment flexibility for patients at risk of pressure injuries.

At the surface, the APM² features the Geo-Matt® segmented top layer with more than 800 individually articulating cells, allowing the mattress to contour to the body while redistributing pressure and reducing heat and moisture buildup. The upgraded Shear Transfer Zone® cover design incorporates silicone-coated shear-minimizing bands beneath a bi-directional stretch, antimicrobial cover made from durable LifeSpan® fabric. This advanced construction helps protect vulnerable areas such as the heels, sacrum, and scapula while reducing micro-shear, macro-shear, and rotational shear during repositioning and head-of-bed elevation.

The lightweight, quiet digital control unit allows caregivers to easily select therapy modes and adjust comfort settings with push-button controls. A timed 20-minute Auto Firm mode supports transfers, ADLs, and CPR before automatically returning to the selected therapy mode. Additional features include Alternate Mode cycling, Float therapy, and visual indicators for low pressure and power failure. Combined with the mattress’s Safety Edge™ design, which enhances edge-of-bed stability and helps reduce fall and entrapment risk, the PressureGuard® APM² Deluxe delivers reliable performance, safety, and comfort for both patients and caregivers.
