Advanced Airflow Without the Noise or Heat
Protocol’s proprietary air delivery cover system supplies a gentle, continuous flow of air directly beneath its highly vapor-permeable coverlet, effectively carrying away excess moisture vapor before it can re-form as liquid. Powered by an efficient, low-energy control unit, the system generates significantly less heat and noise than traditional high-output low air loss blowers, while still delivering reliable microclimate control. Thanks to its intelligent design, the mattress maintains inflation during power outages or transport, avoiding the instability associated with roll-up air surfaces.
Caregiver-Friendly Design with Enhanced Safety
Caregivers can easily select subtle alternating pressure or powered flotation therapy, adapting the surface to individual patient needs. A 20-minute Auto Firm mode temporarily increases surface stability for ADLs, feeding, and transfers before automatically returning to the selected therapy. The mattress also features PressureGuard’s proven Safety Edge™ design, offering unmatched edge-of-bed stability to help reduce falls and entrapment. Optional raised perimeter models provide an added safety cue that gently encourages patients back toward the center of the bed.
