The Merits Health S141 Pioneer 4 scooter is a heavy duty 4-wheel mobility scooter. The Pioneer 4 is perfect for customers with an above-average build holding up to 400 pounds! With a comfortable 20” seat, this scooter will offer the rider all-day comfort with it's thick-cushioned Captain's Seat and headrest. The S141 Pioneer 4 4-Wheel is a very supportive Mobility Scooter that has been designed to make it easier to get around indoors or outdoors while traveling. The S141 Pioneer 4 is a stabilized mobility scooter that is in its own class.

The S141 Pioneer was built with comfort in mind. The thick padded seat swivels in 45-degree increments allowing you easy transfers in and out of the seat and the padded armrest height and width are also adjustable. For an even more comfortable driving position, the tiller angle can also be adjusted closer or further away so that you can have better access to the control panel. Making adjustments to the armrest, seat, or to the tiller is easy. With just a turn of a knob, a pull on the swivel lever, or loosening of a clamping nut, you can position your S141 to meet your specific requirements. With a weight capacity of up to 400 pounds and all of the adjustments that can be made, pretty much anyone can travel comfortably in the Pioneer four-wheel mobility scooter.

own home without the help of others. For all the difference it can make in your life, the researching and buying a mobility scooter is not always pleasant. There are so many options and so many decisions to make. It can be overwhelming to the first-time buyer and veteran scooter owners alike. Here are a few things to consider when buying a mobility scooter. Do you plan to use it indoors or outdoors?

Maneuvering your scooter inside your home will require a tight-turning radius and compact design. On the other hand, if you plan to use your scooter primarily outside, you'll want to consider one that can provide a comfortable ride over rough terrain and on even pavement. Speed and stability are important factors here too. Are you planning on transporting your scooter anywhere? If you plan on running most of your errands on your scooter from home, portability isn't a major concern.

If you need to take your scooter with you in a car or other vehicle however, you'll want to consider compact scooters that can be folded down to fit in the trunk of a car or easily taken apart and put back together. Will you take your scooter on roads? Local laws vary on the type of scooters that are allowed on public roads. So look into them before making a scooter-decision. In general, for road travel, most local regulations require

that scooters be able to achieve eight miles per hour and must have headlights and taillights. Will you need to climb up curves or steep hills? Going uphill in a scooter requires little bit of extra power. If you anticipate a lot of uphill travel, consider a four-wheel mobility scooter. [music]
